Pros

Nice facility, beautiful grounds with jogging path and volleyball area. Lots of vending machines, nice Christmas dinner. It was a great place to work and paid well. All benefits from health and life insurance to 401k and pension.

Cons

Corporate environment, stiff - not casual dress. Outsourced the entire Art Department to India in 2007. Was very management heavy - 6 or 7 managers for about 30 workers. Management was predominantly male - and not very supportive of females. Management was extremely resistant to updating technology; it took a great deal longer to complete the task with archaic procedures, equipment and methods; it was very frustrating.. and then they tried to justify outsourcing by calling the staff "inefficient"! The paper is owned by a private family and is unmistakably Conservative. They literally bought up all of the competition.

Pros

Hard to come up with something. Free drinking water, free toilets, free air, free lies told to employees, the realization that whatever is signed means nothing to management.

Cons

Management that is clueless, do well and you are penalized by them raising your goals. They seem to want salespeople not to make much money.
