Pros

Good laid-back work environment. Sometimes can be cutthroat when deadlines loom, however, the boss always orders the best lunches for us.

Cons

Needs new computers. Also, really not much room for career growth which is why I left but they opened doors on the way out.

Pros

Let me start by saying a lot of reviews here are heated, and potentially written in a state of anger towards the company, so have to be taken with a grain of salt. I have been an employee since 2018 and this is objective information about the environment, management, and tasks that I have carefully observed over the past almost 2 years. PROS: -Good if you like independent work, you are the only employee of the company and they do not intend on hiring more than 1 person to do all tasks that cover all types of work and positions. -Material/Superficial Pros: Free parking and GoodLife membership to the location in the building, close to a park, Shops at Don Mills, etc., 1 Blue Jays and 1 Leafs game ticket per year, Christmas lunch at a nice restaurant -You are usually the main contact for clients, media, etc. so you will definitely get comfortable speaking directly with executives of client's companies. -You really learn how to be patient, not question what you are asked, and not put the effort into having to come up with new ideas. -After this job, you are completely qualified to move onto Director/Executive positions, even if the title they give you makes it seem like you have less experience (the day to day responsibilities say otherwise) -Decent benefits package -Not really expected to work outside office hours, and because of the current state of the company, the hours spent here are not insanely busy -You run their Twitter, so if you like making tweets, there's a plus. -Most of the work you do is PR work, kind of (media relations, event planning)

Cons

-90% of clients listed on their website are no longer clients. -Below industry-average salary for an account coordinator, even if your job is more that of a Consultant/ Account Director. -No work from home flexibility even though the job can be done effectively remotely. -If you enjoy having co-workers and being part of a team environment this is not for you. -Old equipment, operating systems, technology, extremely slow, no plans to change or upgrade -Passive aggressive and sometimes downright disrespectful treatment from owners, even though you are the only one keeping the workload and clients afloat -Must get used to doing trivial tasks copy and paste things like Word docs and webpages into the body copy of emails, re-sending work and emails you sent recently that can be easily found with a quick search (must get over the frustration of ‘it could have been done way quicker if you searched it rather than me doing this’) -Many employees have quit in a rage and walked out on them because of treatment, I was told by the old accountant that no one makes it past three months usually -Having to apologize on boss’ behalf to clients and third-party companies for missed work, not understanding simple tasks, rude communication -No HR department, accountant or finance employee, manager, etc. They do not plan to hire any of these in the future (their words, not mine) -No opportunity for growth, in your position or in the company itself to move to more digital processes in this modern industry.
