- Bad leadership and senior management (at least as of 2013). This place was a true "B Team hiring C Team" environment. Time and time again, the innovators/creators/strategists/A Team players on the business side were wholly shut down. It was disappointing every time - especially because the whole point of an artistic institution is innovation/creativity/collaboration, and it simply didn't translate on the business/organizational end.
- Low retention of qualified personnel, because of the above scenario. The rate at which A Team players would quit or be fired was truly remarkable.
- Gossipy/clicky culture.
- Poor communication between departments
