Pros

The company lunches and snacks are alright. But above all else, the biggest perk to working here is the people you get to meet. Everyon wants to work at the DW, which means you get to work with the smartest, hardest working people in the biz. As a result, you learn more in one month than most people learn in a year.

Cons

They want you to feel like you can be fired at any minute - and you can. Every week we have several new people starting their employment here...but every week we also see a handful of people let go. Imagine what that does for morale - in a company of 200 or so employees, we have at least two or three people being fired every week. It's terribly demotivating, and puts you constantly on guard. Everyone feels the pressure, which means they are quick to pass the blame on to someone else. The corporate culture is incredibly toxic. Trust me, this is NOT the place to build a career. Even if you are lucky enough to get a job here, the minute you start in your role, it will be like a game of hot potato. Your days are numbered. The only question is, will you leave voluntarily before they fire you? No one is allowed to feel safe, ever. Don't get me wrong - I freaking love my job and I love working at the Daily Wire. I believe in what they do wholeheartedly, and wish them nothing but the best. But I'm actively looking for new opportunities, and I don't know of anyone at the Daily Wire who isn't. This isn't a place to build a career. Work here for a year if you can, but be forewarned that this place will chew you up and spit you out. And from Day 1, management is looking for an excuse to fire you. Don't say I didn't warn you...

Pros

You get to work with some really smart people. Plus, having the DW on your resume is like gold in conservative circles. You also get to make a real difference in the culture wars (#sbg4life).

Cons

It's an incredibly toxic work environment. Notice how all the reviews on this site were negative up until recently, when there was this big influx of positive reviews, gushing with praise for the DW. Lmao, they are so transparent. The constant negative reviews were hurting recruitment, so they astroturfed a bunch of positive reviews to try to hide the truth. And the truth is, I don't know of anyone at the Daily Wire who is happy. The firings and resignations have reached crisis levels. Everyone has at least one eye on the door. I would never want anyone I care about to work here.

Pros

Most of the people - outside of the leadership staff - are amazing. I’ve made lifelong friendships working at DW and loved my team. I guess it’s a pro that you get lunch everyday but they only do that so you will not be interrupted by leaving the office for food. They want you to keep working. This was said to me by a high level staff member.

Cons

You are a number, not a name. Leadership tells you from day one that it’s a privilege to have a seat at the table and you’re easily replaceable. People really do want to work here, so it’s true that you’re easily replaceable. That doesn’t mean the employer should have that attitude about their team members. Instead of helping you grow, they’re waiting for you to fail. DW does not believe in work-life balance and you will hear this from HR, your supervisor, and the CEOs. Refusing to work on your PTO will most likely get you terminated - even if it’s not an emergency. The longer you stay, the more likely it is for you to be replaced by someone with “fresh ideas”. The CEO told everyone in a staff meeting that we won’t get promoted anytime soon because he wanted to hire new employees above us. Things like “it’s not that you’re not good, you’re just not good enough” are said regularly as an excuse to not give opportunities for promotion. Transparency is not a thing here. I know several people who were told they were doing a great job and next thing you know they’re booted out the door. They are always looking over your shoulder and micromanaging. Being a manager here is horrible because you’ll have the CEOs and HR asking why a team member was on their phone for a few minutes.
