Pros

Enjoyed the work and the people on my team. Friendly, open hearted and passionate coworkers. Really enjoyed my time there.

Cons

While I enjoyed working there overall, the work really ebbs and flows and there were times where there wasn’t much to do.

Pros

There is a lot to love about The Fairness Project. The staff is small, smart, and they work well together, and the culture is supportive and fast-paced. The Fairness Project's core principle is supporting and improving the lives and working conditions of working Americans, and the organization's leadership takes care to live by this principle. Benefits and time off are generous and there is a culture of honest communication. Because the organization is young there is a lot of room to grow into your position and shape your own work, as well as a possibility to contribute to the goals that The Fairness Project works toward in the future. It's a great environment for self-motivated people who are excited to tackle challenging, meaningful projects within a small and communicative team.

Cons

The staff works closely with each other in a shared workspace, so the organization would be difficult for someone who works best in isolation or silence. This isn't necessarily a con, though, if you like working as part of a team and thrive on communication.

Pros

Welcoming environment where you're allotted a lot of freedom and an opportunity to work on something impactful. My biggest pros -Flexible schedules -Great work balance -Freedom to try new ideas -Space to fail, learn and grow -Positive office environment and team -Having the opportunity that doesn't just preach progressive values, but actually applies them in practice. -GREAT health care and benefits

Cons

Sometimes I wished I knew a little more about the bigger picture work being done. With that said, I do think there were active measures being taken to communicate more and if I had a question, I felt free to ask.
