Pros

Working at The Fogarty Center has been both challenging and rewarding. The work is meaningful and mission-driven, especially supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The team truly embodies a “it takes a village” mindset, and collaboration across nursing, program management, and direct care staff is essential. The role requires strong clinical judgment, regulatory knowledge, and adaptability. It can be fast-paced and demanding, but there are real opportunities to improve systems, support staff growth, and make a direct impact on participant care. Overall, it’s a place where accountability, teamwork, and dedication to quality care are valued.

Cons

Navigating the healthcare system at a community case management level can be complex and at times frustrating. However, the agency consistently supports its nursing team and remains committed to advocating for safe, ethical, and high-quality care.

Pros

I can honestly say from going full-time for many years, to part-time recently, this agency is excellent to work for. The culture here is very positive for caregivers. It starts with the CEO and runs right through each department. The direct support are trained well and appreciated. Their concerns are addressed and challenges handled with discretion and compassion. I recommend this agency. The best part of the job is the program participants. Prepare to fall in love.

Cons

Working for a non-profit will never make you the same money as a for profit, but this company comes close.
