Pros

sick snack bar, donuts on wednesday, nice office layout... but read below for the real tea

Cons

Notice how all of the "good reviews" are on the same couple of days in March?? suspicious, don't follow that. This agency is DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA! Bunch of mean girls who have nothing better to do, but to be paid basically minimum wage and make any newbie feel welcomed then talk behind their back! They offer NO benefits whatsoever and have promised they were working towards it for a year but no progress, major favoritism, HIGH employee turnover, and more!

Pros

Guess there is one reoccurring pro - the snacks.

Cons

Dear Former Employees - In response to the review about the Franchise Tax Board… You aren’t alone! Around 15 of us received notices from the Franchise Tax Board about non payment of our California taxes. This does NOT fall on you. Show proof of your annual wage statement (W2) to the Franchise Tax Board that shows your taxes were pulled out of your paycheck and they will send you your California refund. Shame on you GCMG. This is the exact reason the Franchise Tax Board suspended your business. I worked there almost 3 years ago and it appears they haven’t changed or learned anything from their mass amounts of turnover throughout the years. Let me guess, they’re still promising that they’re looking into benefits too? Interesting. The one thing I am thankful for is that I made great friends from those that left the agency. Those that didn’t take part in the mean girl, gossip culture that radiates from within the walls here. To prospective employees, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. There are much better places to work that probably thrive on a positive and inclusive culture….oh and probably aren’t suspended by the Franchise Tax Board like GCMG is.

ITS A CLOWN SHOW

Pros

There is NO BENEFIT to working here

Cons

Based on the information provided, I would not recommend working with GCMG Agency. My experience with this company was overwhelmingly negative and unprofessional.  To start with, the company has a terrible track record when it comes to paying their employees on time. I worked there for over half a year, payroll was to be paid every two weeks and they were always 3-5 days late meeting payroll 100% of the time. In addition to this, the company's work culture is extremely toxic. The employees often yell at each other and treat each other with disrespect. It feels like being back in high school, with cliques forming and management throwing rubber ducks at each other, kicking, choking, hitting, and pushing people in their chairs on a daily basis.  One of the managers, Josh, is particularly concerning. He has been known to be very disrespectful towards women with his words and actions such as choking, hitting, and slapping female coworkers. Witnessing this kind of bullying on a daily basis made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe in the workplace. He is very vocal with his comments against women and the LBGTQ community. Furthermore, it's important to note that the owner, son, and daughter are all racist and racially profile individuals and have made numerous racial comments to employees and in meetings. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in any workplace and creates a toxic environment for everyone involved.  To make matters worse, the company doesn't offer any benefits to their employees. They claim to be planning to introduce them, but never take any initiative to actually follow through on this promise. They also tell you its a full-time job but it is common that they send staff home early on Fridays to cut their hours. The management at GCMG is incredibly inexperienced. The company is run by very young “managers” with no prior experience in their role and doesn't seem to have a clear vision for the future. If you are looking to learn and be mentored this is not the place. To make matters worse, the management often online shops while also purchasing tickets and planning weekend trips. They expect their team to take on their work while they enjoy themselves. This blatant disregard for their employees' time and effort is unacceptable and shows a lack of professionalism.  Further adding to my negative review of The GCMG Agency, the company has an extremely high turnover rate. During my time there, I saw 1 employee leave every 2 weeks for 6 months, a total of 12 employees leaving the company. This is a clear indication that something is not right with the company's management and work culture.  In addition to this, I found out that the company has been posting fake positive reviews online written by management to boost their reputation. This unethical behavior is not acceptable and shows that the company is not honest in their dealings.  The GCMG Agency doesn't have an HR department or representative at all. This lack of oversight and guidance makes it impossible for employees to address any concerns without repercussions.  In terms of compensation, your hourly wage is less than what you will likely be paid by working at In-N-Out. Compensation is not equal to quantity and quality of your workload with no possibility of any raise even after being promised a raise. If you are wanting to increase your hourly wage do not expect management to offer a clear pathway to get there. This is another indication that the company does not value their employees and is not willing to invest in their growth and development.  Bottom line, if you are serious about starting your career at a legitimate business this is NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. I would strongly advise against working with The GCMG Agency. The high turnover rate, fake reviews, racist behavior, lack of leadership, unfair treatment of employees, lack of HR department, and low compensation make it a poor choice for anyone looking for a positive and rewarding work experience.
