Pros

Everyone here is kind and supportive. I have worked at cult like marketing agencies where everyone is fake nice, but everyone here is genuine and more than happy to collaborate. Remote work, managers are chill if you have to be offline for an appointment or an errand. Get your work done and they will reward you

Cons

Being bought by WPP/Group M changed the review process, so there are less opportunities in the year to be promoted or get a raise unless you internally apply for an open position

Pros

- fully remote and WFH allowance.

Cons

- no work-life balance - expect you to work overhours without extra pay - account managers and direct managers are absolute bullies to people they don't consider 'cool' - very fast turover rate, so people are not properly trained - management style is irrational and depends on if they like you or not. I had massive mental health issues after being bullied every day, which included mean messages by my manager. Sometimes at 10 pm... - you are not allowed to make mistakes and learn - You can't expect any support by HR because they are all friends with eachother, if you complain it will backfire. - very unprofessional behaviour with clients and especially Influencers behind the scenes - they tell their current employees to leave good reviews on Glassdoor - the management invents reasons to downgrade you in your appraisals

The Goat Agency Response

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about your experiences working at Goat. The feedback you've provided above is concerning to me, and not at all the culture we cultivate in our business. I'm further concerned by the accusations you've made of poor management practices and bullying. Neither of these are tolerated at Goat, and had we received a complaint about them we would have almost certainly carried out a full investigation. If you feel comfortable doing so, please reach out to the Goat People team via people@goatagency. We would really appreciate the opportunity to talk to you about your experience working at the agency and investigating the claims made above.
