Great learning experience, challenging work environment

Pros

There were several opportunities to engage in new tasks and have new learning opportunities. There are also several fun events and opportunities for travel. Work environment is casual, there are lots of snacks, and the staff are friendly.

Cons

I often felt overworked and under compensated. I was often given a lot of responsibility with little support from my supervisor. Management sometimes said and did inappropriate things without consequences.

Mission-driven organization that truly values it's employees' happiness and well-being. Lots of opportunity for growth and career advancement. In the past year, the compensation structure has improved to benefit junior staff. The Leadership Academy brings great energy to entire organization every year. Great location in downtown Oakland, and regular happy hours with a fun, family-like work culture.

Cons

We have been growing very quickly in the last couple of years, so there have been some growing pains to accommodate for nearly doubling our size.

Coworkers are awesome, friendly family feel, big emphasis on leadership development.

Cons

Organization has a great vision but struggles to get there. Lack of capacity hurts growth. This organization has a very bright future, but change is slow.
