You work on old mobile units that have a history of breaking down. Cameras aren't well maintained. Dusty, dirty environment. Peeling wood finishes or rotten wooden molding are the norm. The air vents and returns are gross. Patients pointing this out frequently only solidifies this point. Corners are cut with injection times and uptake times all in an effort to squeeze in as many patients as possible. Service for repairs is questionable. You are expected to problem solve for things you've never seen or is not in the scope of practice for a healthcare employee. If you're lucky you can call from a list of company "handymen" who may be able to come out and try to fix the problem, when they get to it.
Payscale is set up to alienate all employees who have been in the field for a number of years. Why? You may have 10yrs experience and be paid the same as the person who just finished school. Salary and pay is constantly discussed amongst employees so you can imagine how morale can dip based on this poor practice. Structured pay with increase for experience and education would be the right way to go, but not at this place.
Mileage should follow irs guidelines and be applicable to ALL employees. Minimal mileage amount should be structured for employees based on proximity to job site. So many more things that could be done from a management standpoint that aren't.
