Women should avoid

Pros

A fun industry to work in if you like snowboarding or bikes. Not many places in MN that you can get into this industry. Good discount unless they threaten to take it again.

Cons

Family owned and operated mostly by men 60+ in age that have never experienced the product lines they carry. No women in management. No career path for women unless you like entering data. Human resources is the company president. Company policy only in the form of memos that are handed out whenever the owner sees something he does not like. The only dress code was that women could not wear high heels. Skateboarding in the warehouse is ok though. Women are paid less but this is less of a problem since everyone is paid poorly. If you ask for time off that you have earned, you are made to feel that they are doing you a favor. The office environment is filthy and unhealthy.

Pros

Deep discounts Good job for part timers, students and/or seasonal.

Cons

10 days a year for: sick, vacation and/or medical leave. Poor basic health insurance coverage, due to owner is Swedish and leaves country to take care of medical needs. Pay is low unless you stay with the company for years. Not proactive on letting customers know about back ordered items. Which leads to poor repeat customers. Poor data system for products/product info, orders and inventory. Inventory is shared with multiple sites and show room, therefore always off.
