Pros

Large focus on just out of college new hires. Dedicated 6 month training on MR skills as well as professional development. People stay for a long time which is both good and bad. Good quality work load with a range of client companies.

Cons

Homogenous environment and difficult to adjust to if you're a non-traditional hire (not a recent college grad). Senior leadership sometimes forgets that it's no longer the glory days with just a handful of employees and not everyone is bought in or feels included.

Pros

The Link Group is full of smart, talented, and fun people. Everyone genuinely cares about the quality of their work as well as the quality of their relationships with colleagues. The environment is extremely collaborative, and everyone is always willing to pitch in and help with different projects.

Cons

There are no real downsides to working at The Link Group. The only negative is that with 2 offices and a few employees working remotely, you do not get to see all of your colleagues as much as you'd like. However, there is a company-wide offsite every year to encourage those relationships across offices, so the distance between Atlanta and Durham doesn't seem quite so bad.

Pros

It's hard to state how truly great of a place it is to work here. In no particular order: - The senior leadership (including CEO and President) truly care about each employee's well being - from career development to work-life balance. Leadership will NEVER ask anyone to sacrifice personal well-being for company profits; RFPs are constantly turned down when they feel like the company is running "too hot." - Each project is different from the next. This keeps things engaging and is far from monotonous. - Exposure to Fortune 500 companies and client senior marketing leadership is high. Lots of projects/insights are presented to senior leadership to help guide key decisions. Clients pick TLG because they truly value the partnership and consultative options we offer. This makes projects feel meaningful and important. - You are in charge of your own career here. If you want responsibilities, you are encouraged to ask for them, and they are largely given. I've never once felt discouraged to take on more tasks and responsibilities. - Your opinions are heard. If you don't want to be on a specific project, you won't (99% of the time). This helps foster a project load that is bearable, fits with your schedule, and aligns with your interests. - Each researcher, no matter the level, is exposed to every aspect of research. Talk about incredible experience and ownership from the get-go. -The hours are so reasonable. If you have too many hours logged for projects, leadership will reach out to make sure you aren't being overworked. - You work with friends, not co-workers. The people along side you at TLG are seriously smart and fun. Lunch table discussions, office hangouts, happy hours, offsites, etc. are something people look forward to. - Business revenue was relatively unscathed in the pandemic; lay offs weren't even a considerations.

Cons

There's truly not much to complain about. The project mix is mostly healthcare as of now (largely because that's where our clients took us). If you hate healthcare, it may not be a great place to work. And given it truly is a market research company, your career path here is a researcher / market research consultant. There isn't a sales team, marketing design team, etc. So perhaps career opportunities are somewhat narrow.
