Pros

Some good people work/ed there. Most of them left.

Cons

The Founder/CEO is an inept, insecure, erratic, fear-driven narcissist. She tends to favor and consult with a small group of ladder-climbing sycophants, and barely acknowledges anyone else (including those whose work is the sole reason for her ailing company's continued existence). She barely knows who contributes what in the studio, nor does she make an effort to. When she gets paranoid, which is often, she uses fear as a motivator to get her employees to try and drum up new business. All in all, a highly toxic work environment. To quote a fellow ex-employee: "The favoritism there is truly poisonous."

Pros

Good benefits Get the chance to work with some very smart/cool people Works with some great brands

Cons

Before I took this job I never looked at the reviews on glassdoor until someone at the office told me to check it out and boy.....the negative reviews are absolutely spot on. I wish I read these before I took my current position. The CEO is incredibly difficult and can be down right nasty when she wants to be. She rules with fear and talks behinds everyone's back, often campaigning to get rid of people. Would good leader do that!?!? She lacks in leadership direction, focus and often gets insecure. When that happens the worst of her comes out. She puts on an act and can be a saint to clients but I can assure you that she is no saint. No one stands up to her and if you do watch out. Almost everyone at the company knows how the CEO can be and many are fearful. There is a group of three other senior execs that simply let her terrible behavior prevail. Shame on them. She's an HR nightmare. The turnover at the company is a revolving door! I have seen many, many good employee's get fired by her. Simply put, don't work here.

Pros

They'll offer you (or anyone) a job!

Cons

The mess comes from the top – CEO is fully delusional and the entire company is forced to live in a constant state of reaction to whatever she is feeling at any moment. She is not smart, at best she is a con artist. Any clients they win must come from straight up lying or being the "agency" willing to do the work for the cheapest amount of money. The consistent client work they do have are the most boring projects known to man and are NOT being bragged about in any interview setting. While the source of the chaos points to one person, the blame should also be placed on the "leadership" team enabling the CEO. They are equally as bad at their jobs or simply trauma bonded to this place, since any semi-established person with an ounce of self worth would run far away from wasting away any sort of career here. Ultimately, it is sort of a fake company. Nobody will know it once you go in and nobody will know it once you leave. What you do there will never matter. Potential intern/early career employees, please listen to me: I cannot imagine a more harmful place to work. Don't do it. Wait the extra month, apply to the extra few jobs. They may promise you the moon but I promise you'll end up being humiliated by the CEO while doing the work of several jobs. Sure, you might have the opportunity to "learn" a lot, but you will learn how to do things on your own– messily, quickly and WRONG– and later need to unlearn them when you work at a real company. I shouldn't save this for last, but the "diversity" aspect of this company is probably the biggest grift of them all. The CEO could not care less about anything that has to do with DEI unless it is making her money or helping her be perceived as the most important LGB (forget about the TQIA, she does) white woman in NYC (where she is not even close to being on the shortlist...) I firsthand heard some of the most homophobic, racist, classist things I've ever heard at work come out of her mouth on an extremely consistent basis– including suggesting the company intentionally deceive clients about the sexual orientation of the predominately heterosexual staff at the time. I'm embarrassed to have ever given this place a minute of my time and if you are reading this while interviewing, please take this as your sign to look elsewhere.
