Pros

You will definitely learn to type faster to keep up with the busy work.

Cons

The place is a sinking ship laden with downtrodden and depressing passengers that pass for employees

Pros

Great editors, flexibility with schedule and a place where you can really grow as a reporter. The corporate ownership can be a pain but in-house management is great. As far as mid-size newspapers go, it's hard to find a better fit in the industry.

Cons

None as far as the place itself goes.
