Pros

Great benefits, like health insurance and dental. To me that was it, I work for a company now with much better vacation policies and I am in a leadership position working with a professional team.

Cons

I found myself comparing the culture of this company to a high school setting. It is compromised of cliques (groups) of people that socialize together and if you don't fit in their group, they will make sure you get the hint. Not all, but a considerable population of the employees act like adolescent children that talk about boys and inappropriate topics for a work environment. I will also say there were a select few that openly put down men and of course nothing was ever done about it because that included some of their team managers. The work was monotonous and you get little to no guidance from team leadership on new tasks. I remember team leads saying that my manager told them I knew how to complete a complex process, when in reality I was only showed once and never performed the functions myself. I also found opportunity for advancement seemed limited, but available to maybe a select few who fit the companies militant mold. The Earned Time Off (ETO) vacation model is not as golden as they make it seem.

Pros

I have to have 5 words to submit.

Cons

Micro-management, new plans are implemented with no testing period. Upper Management has no idea what happens day to day in the Company. Employees are expected to take on more responsibilities with no compensation. Will get plenty of PTO but never be allowed to use it.

Motivating Employees with Fear and Intimidation

Pros

Competitive benefits package and compensation.

Cons

Upper management, with the full support of the Human Resource Department, has adopted a style of motivating employees with fear and intimidation. There is no constructive criticism, respectful conversation or support provided. Instead employees are confronted and spoken to in such a way that they are left feeling demoralized and discouraged. The obvious collusion between upper management and Human Resources leaves the employees without a "safe haven" to bring their concerns to in order to report the mismanagement, lack of leadership and unprofessional treatment that they encounter daily.
