Pros

As with any company, there are good times and bad times, but I can say for sure that since I started here at TRI, it has been an amazing ride. TRI is on an upward trend which I am super happy to be a part of since joining recently. I can say for sure that TRI has an excellent team of professionals and a very positive pro-growth environment. Leadership and management have practically done everything they reasonable do to make me feel comfortable and welcomed as a member of their team. And that is saying a lot.

Cons

To be honest, I don't see any negative situations that I would consider to be a con. Leadership and management have been making power moves to create a positive and welcoming environment and generating momentum to take the company to the next level. That is really all you can ask for.

Pros

Half-day Fridays! The agency has been around for a long time and the change in leadership over the past year has helped improved processes as well as company culture. I haven't been with the company for a full year yet, but I have heard stories about how the culture has been a priority for the new leadership. The team is fully remote currently with an option to use office space in AZ for people who are local, but most employees are spread across the US. Communication with team members is open and fluid with regular check-ins, all-hands meetings, and company virtual events/lunches. I most appreciate the half-day Fridays that are offered. And on my particular team, there are no meetings scheduled on Fridays either. It personally helps with my own sense of work/life balance and managing stress. Many clients have been with the agency for multiple years and attend multiple retreats every year which I think is a testament to the value they feel they are getting. There aren't any hard sales tactics utilized by the current sales team, unlike some older reviews that might lead someone to believe. Most clients come to the agency via a referral from another attorney or legal association. I think there is a fair amount of growth potential for employees here despite being a small company. In the past 4 months, I've already seen 2 people promoted and 3 net new people hired. While I don't think it's a place where people will stay in their careers for a long time, I think it's a great place for entry-level people and those making career shifts to spend a couple of years and grow their skill set. I've even referred multiple candidates to open roles at the company because I see the fit and potential for people in my close network.

Cons

The interview process can be long which surprises people for a small company. But I think it's because they have been burned in the past by not hiring people who have a positive mindset. And they are prioritizing making sure anyone who joins the company doesn't just have strong skills but has a good outlook and team spirit as well. Another opportunity for improvement that can be frustrating for employees who are client-facing is that many of the long-term clients are still on outdated contracts that are not very clear in communicating their services provided. And with the nature of lawyers as clients, they are prone to arguing their contracts (even though they renew and stay on as clients). So it can be challenging to not take their complaints as personal attacks. 99% of the time the contract disputes are resolved but it can be stressful and an area of improvement for the agency overall as new contracts are created for new clients. The compensation packages are also not highly competitive in today's market. I took a pay cut coming to this company however because of the half-day Fridays and the wonderful things I heard from the current team about the overall culture and low-stress agency environment. As someone who has worked for very large, high-pressure agencies in the past, it was/is worth the lower pay for me.
