Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Decent pay and good benefits. Good collaboration between departments, for the most part. Co-workers who want to do well, succeed, and do right by the department and company.

Cons

The constant turnover, complete lack of work/life balance, and extremely poor management leads to a team that burns out quickly, time and time again. Team members consistently try to do (more than) their best, put in countless extra hours (on a regular basis), and are met with complaints that it is not enough, not right, etc. Letting go of hard-working employees only continues to hurt the department. Management of the department is the biggest issue here, by far. Swearing at staff, bad-mouthing team members to others behind their backs, favoring certain employees because they say yes to everything asked (no matter how unreasonable/unprofessional), determining a certain employee is suddenly at risk of losing their job (there is always one at any given time) and making it somewhat of a mission to get them out the door... the list goes on. Totally unprofessional, and results in a toxic work environment. These issues and more have been repeatedly reported to HR in the past, and the cycle of no action has apparently continued and good employees have continued to leave as a result.

Pros

Not much, truly. There is potential to produce good products and work but you need to have some stability in team to move things forward.

Cons

This place is absolutely toxic! They lure you in with titles, pay, etc. but soon after you arrive, you see that you have just sold your soul to the devil. Since I have been here, almost the whole team that was hired in within the past year is gone. My classless boss just bad mouths everyone using 4 letter expletives all the time, so I know she is doing that to me when I am not around too. My coworkers are all encouraged to "tattle" to try and save their jobs, so it is not a place where you can trust anyone and DON'T go to HR for help...that is the kiss of death. I need to get out of here!!!

Pros

Pay and benefits, I guess.

Cons

Where to start? The last review sums it up - they are clearly talking about a specific toxic, juvenile, backstabbing, hateful, unprofessional department. There is zero leadership for this team, and as a result, turnover is extremely high. Numerous people have left after less than a year because of a certain manager's preferential treatment of certain team members and horrible treatment of others. If you like being demeaned in front of other people, talked down to, or given ZERO authority, this is the place for you. As for as HR, they talk a good game, but in the end will do nothing to support employees when issues are brought up. Stay away.
