Pros

There's a few great people that work at this company. Company matched IRA. Decent health benefits.

Cons

NO training whatsoever, in most every department, its sink or swim from day 1. You have to beg for months/years to get a review of your performance and even then a raise is not likely, seems like the only time anyone got a raise is when they turned in their resignation or threatened to quit. Time off is frowned upon here. Ive never worked at another company that did more rework from their own miscommunication screw ups than I have at The Trade Group. POOR communication between the sales dept. and the rest of the company, most sales people here dont even understand what they're selling. POOR Communication between all production depts., its like a bunch of little tribes fighting amongst each other to point fingers at who's fault a mistake is. A LOT of lazy people work here, about 90% of all work in the company is done by a small handful of hard workers.

Pros

none that I can think of other than just being able to say you have a job

Cons

people treat you like dirt, upper management doesn't care about anything but padding their wallets at their employees expense. not a good place to work at all. no raises are given ever. watched good people get fired because of personal vendettas i.e. very unprofessional

Pros

There are some decent people scattered around the company. It was interesting to see some of the projects come into fruition. corporate outings were some what frequent. Not many pros at all.

Cons

It is a very difficult environment to work in. My entire time within the trade group was riddled with hostility, envy, competitiveness, hate, arrogance and ignorance. Due to such entities within what is supposed to be a professional establishment the work that would be done is circumvented. Example; I was laid off in July and fired in august so that I would have a problem collecting unemployment. Why? I've done nothing to harm anyone at this establishment. The explanation for my being fired is lack of experience, not listening to my supervisor and that I could not properly read blueprints, all lies. I have attended Brooklyn community college for architecture I could read blueprints before I was a woodworker, I've been a woodworker for over fifteen years and I am militant in pursuit of executing my responsibility. hands down the trade group is the worst. In part due to a hand full of egotistical, immature men at the helm of the floor. I needed my unemployment for I am in the process of starting my own establishment. However, I can not be stopped." An injustice to anyone anywhere is an injustice to everyone everywhere!". Peace!
