Great support from management, slight disorganization.

Pros

I had great support from my supervisor, who I was sad to learn was let go. Great office to work in. It's nice working with a group of people who like what they do.

Cons

Slight disorganisation within upper management, but didn't effect me directly. Lots of mundane tasks though. Only a few opportunities to take ownership of a project you're passionate about. Also, as a nonprofit, the salaries are pretty low.

Difficult marketplace, saturated with a number of companies that make choices for schools, parents, and students hard to discern.

Great Rigor, Terrible Pay

The courses are well developed with high rigor. College readiness is emphasized in Foreign Language classrooms.

Cons

I have worked for VHS for 7 years and although I stay because I love the environment, the pay is by far the lowest of any school I've ever experienced. The grading and communication are twice the workloads for half the pay of other schools.
