True disparity

Pros

It's a lovely space.

Cons

Little or no room for growth. None of the higher up engage with or even acknowledge lower level staff; there is a very obvious upstairs-downstairs divide. They seem more interested in making names for themselves and fawning over guests than interacting with their own employees. Incredibly understaffed and underpaid - we were told months ago (in June) that we'd be getting benefits, but it's November and no one has been told anything, despite asking several times. There's also an optics problem - most of the "help staff" are people of color, while the majority management (and members) are wealthy white women. It's like a country club.

We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that you have not received the information that you are requesting in regards to pay and benefits. We officially rolled out benefits for our part-time teams in October of 2018 and hosted office hours through November for employees to attend. We will continue to have info sessions quarterly and your GM or HR team are always available to answer questions as well.

Pros

Beautiful spaces, the members are lovely

Cons

Open office work environment, very clique-y (people who have been there longer are not welcoming to new employees). Your time is micromanaged by 2-3 "supervisors". Low pay and the benefits aren't great - I wouldn't even say good. Expectations to work overtime several times a week. It's also quite obvious that much of the help is WOC, while members are upper class white women, which made me uncomfortable.

Beautiful spaces, ugly work experience

Pros

Beautiful workspaces, occasionally you can work from home. Discounts on products and food.

Cons

Incredibly clique-y culture. If you aren't BFFs with any of the original hires, you are definitely ostracized. Not a lot of communication from managers or senior staff - we are often left in the dark about things happening. Many of the senior staff (especially the CEO, comms and design teams) are far more invested in how they can get celebrities into the space and be friends with them. It's all about names and who you know. Speaking up in meetings is equated with "negativity". People have been asked to take things down from social media and directives have been issued about saying anything remotely negative about the company. Unclear routes of growth and promotion. I hesitated to leave this review, but I notice that every time someone posts a negative one, another person almost immediately posts a glowing one.
