Pros

The Works is very mission oriented, with great people who want to help kids explore engineering. The curriculum is very hands-on, with great projects to work with.

Cons

The flexibility allowed teachers sometimes meant not very much guidance was available to learn about new curriculum. Those in charge of managing/stocking materials have let the store rooms get disorganized to the point of chaos. Pay is low, with little chance for advancement.

Pros

Enjoyable work providing an excellent service to the community. The hours go by fast because you are busy and doing enjoyable work with fun people. Working with kids, teachers, and general public makes every day different.

Cons

No opportunities for advancement; upper management is sheltered and doesn't know what is going on; lots of schedule and plan changes.
