Pros

Flexibility Autonomy Ability to choose what to write about Remote work You get to "meet" and work with people from around the world

Cons

Unorganized. No formal pitch system so you do not know if other reporters are working on or going to work on the same story. Language barriers with editors. English is required but no everyone is good. Editors have "Cooked" (Changed) direct quotes which is a cardinal sin in journalism Some editors take days to return your work and give you the go ahead to publish when the rule is within 24-48 hours. The CEO Amit sends very rude and passive aggressive/ aggressive messages in the main channel of comms. NO PAY You are expected to source photos for every story regardless of copyright issues. They say just deal with it. Editors can be rude and make changes on google docs secretly (Not using comments or highlights to show edits but just changing in text. BIGGEST THING: They do not allow you to use (Gendered) language. NO Congressman or Congresswoman, they force us to say lawmaker.
