Pros
I thoroughly enjoy the work that i do and my colleagues at Think. Day-to-day workload and client demands can be challenging, but that is the nature of clients. I work alongside the entire signage department, and i am continually blown away by my colleagues efforts to achieve briefs on time and to a high standard. Working with other departments is so rewarding… everyone is at the top of their field, and will go above and beyond to meet ever-growing client requests.
We work closely with production teams, go on site visits and meet with clients, which breaks up the day-to-day of being in an office. Use of pool cars and subsidised food when travelling. Each handler has key responsibility for their own accounts, but will help out when anyone needs!
I have been continually supported and encouraged by upper management - who make themselves visible and approachable (which is a rarity in my experience!) Despite having ongoing personal challenges, i have always been supported by my line manager and mental health advocates in the company. The nature of the office can be loud and intimidating at first, but there are booths and quiet areas we can use when needed. There are opportunities for progression and growth if you work hard.
Lastly, the social element of the company is so much fun (run by the social team.) We recently had ‘sports day’ and food vans at lunch, alongside an ice cream van in summer and treats for ‘national biscuit day’. There are often pool tournaments which you can take part in or watch as a spectator. We often go out for drinks as a team and social events are a great chance to meet the rest of the office.
I hope reviews don’t put people off, let the dedicated many long term employees (10 years+) speak for the work culture
Cons
Uneven workload split between the team means some staff are drowning, whilst others not so much
Minimal flexible working (9-6 as standard, 8-5 as and when needed)
