Pros
I joined Thirdfort as an Engineering Manager after many years as a senior engineering leader across organisations of various sizes. Going into the process, I had a good feeling after speaking with several people during the interviews but you can never be fully sure until you actually join. Now, having been here for over a month, I can confidently say that joining Thirdfort was absolutely the right decision.
I haven’t met a single person I didn’t like. Engineers, tech leads, product managers, and leadership have all been approachable, supportive, and genuinely collaborative. My ideas and opinions have been listened to, and my work has already been recognised and appreciated.
The tech stack is cloud-native and modern, with strong engineering practices in place. AI adoption is encouraged across the organisation, creating exciting opportunities not just for engineers but for other functions as well.
One thing that stands out is a strong focus on customers and clients. Their needs are consistently front-and-centre in product and platform discussions. Feedback—positive or negative—is taken seriously, and the team acts on it. Wins are celebrated together. Ownership is encouraged. There are plenty of opportunities to contribute, influence, and make a real impact.
I also feel fortunate to have joined at a great moment in the company’s journey. A lot of foundational work has gone into building the right culture and processes, and you can sense that the company is on the launchpad for meaningful growth. I’m genuinely excited about what Thirdfort will achieve in the coming months and years.
Cons
Like in every organisation, there is always room for improvement, but the positive thing here is that people are genuinely encouraged to take ownership, raise issues, and drive improvements.
