Pros

Depending on the office you work in, you get perks such as free weekly lunches and happy hours. The salary can also be higher than elsewhere depending on the position.

Cons

Very poorly managed and as a result, 50% of the staff has been cut two times in less than a year. During the same year they managed to fundraise yet a few months later, it was back to layoffs. Very low retention rate even without the downsizing. Management is not fit to lead a startup. The product changes monthly and in all these years they have not managed to successfully complete an idea.

Pros

Was a great place to learn new technologies and had a great life/work balance (pretty much just 40 hrs/week). Location was good.

Cons

Management has always been a pain- they make organizational decisions that don't help the product and most senior positions were filled by buddies of CEO. They pivot too often and it isn't always clear what money they're chasing. It's an entirely different company than the one I joined and I would not have interviewed at it in its current state.

Great people. Great learning experience. Great company culture. Great location. Great work/life balance.

Cons

Instability of a start-up environment. Flagship products are built, then changes directions too often, leaving engineers confused of the overall product direction.
