Pros

Great technical team and interest in new technology. Collaborative coworkers. Flexible work schedule (best thing). Great location downtown. The strength of work lies in the individual talents of the staff.

Cons

Management mostly hands off approach, and doesn't support the team throughout entire length of project (multiple examples of staff being thrown under the bus for management to save face at end of project). Clients often dissatisfied as projects conclude, almost no repeat work says something. High staff turnover is very disconcerting to clients. Minimal training, or advancement.

Pros

Pros - strong technical team and other smart non-tech good people work here, we can pick and choose timing you come in.

Cons

Cons – Management is not so good, less salary, random people come at this place sometimes and started asking questions ends up in distraction, team members need to act like a receptionist, Outlook mail is 16th century old work only around 0.05 mile radius. as usual like any other cmny's any time you can expect layoff when there is no work. company policies are not clear cut.

Pros

Great place to work as long as Mike wasn't in the office.

Cons

ThoughtLab has a problem that stems from the top down. CEO Mike Harker would come into the office spouting all sorts of ideas, talking about this and that. Then he'd leave, and the whole office would collectively sigh in relief. Mike would have what we would call his shiny new toys. He'd hire and employee that he thought was the best thing ever. Then after a couple of months the shine would wear off and he would either fire them, or they were smart enough to move on their own. I have never worked at a place with such high turnover. I have no idea how they keep clients around. In my time there three project managers quit in under six months. Also, ThougtLab loves to say they have four offices. It's more like an office in SLC, a guy with a phone in San Fran who used to work at there, someone in Atlanta does the same, and no one in New York. I think they just put that on there to look cool.
