Pros

-Great company idea. The company will make money and be successful in the future, I have 0 doubts about that. -Lots of resources and brain talent at an analyst and managerial level -Well funded +/- decent compensation for CPG industry...benefits and full package pale in comparison to other industries

Cons

- Massive lack of diversity. 30-person teams have 4 women. 6 of them are POC. You can figure out the rest. - Very, very little experience leading high-velocity Unicorns from leadership. You have a lot of people coming from CPG and oddball companies, but a lack of experience from leadership in the tech/startup space. +/- decent compensation for CPG industry...benefits and full package pale in comparison to other industries -No referral bonuses

Pros

Fun culture and good perks

Cons

They hired too many people and over promised promotions and growth which they aren't fulfilling on. Majority of senior brand managers and directors were promoted, but any level lower than that has been told promotions are “on hold”. Lots of red tape on getting anything done quickly or running advice tests due to budget approvals. Salary much lower than market. No word about bonuses or raises from ELT

Pros

Market leader in FBA aggregator space Summer Fridays Fully Remote

Cons

There are a total of 22 Associate Directors and Directors in Brand Management. All are white except one diversity candidate hired in January. If you look on the calendars of our senior director/now VP, you can see that the whole roster of candidates they interview are all Caucasian names. This is absolutely sickening and a perpetuating cycle that stems from an all white recruiting team. I feel deeply uncomfortable at work as a POC and deal with discrimination and micro aggressions on a weekly basis. In full disclosure, a lot of my colleagues are very inclusive. The racism is top down. I’ve noticed the same white men are greeted by our senior director at meetings. He will only highlight their case studies in Spartan monthly meetings and the list goes on. One senior brand manager joined in April. He was fast tracked and promoted twice to a director role in the span of 8 months with no notable wins. No surprise, he’s a white man. With looming layoffs, I would not be surprised if conveniently the few POC are thrown under the bus.
