Cons

-Don't get paid for administrative work (fee-for-service) -No $$ for CEUs/training -No regular office space -Lots of driving (and not paid for commute) -Only see MA clients - do not get paid for no-shows/cancellations and can't set fees -Sometimes hard to get clients who have daytime availability -Long wait times when attending psychiatric evaluations make scheduling other clients difficult -Really strict about some policies but unclear about others -- guidelines for documentation are not specified -End up doing case management in addition to providing therapy (not compensated for this work) -Have to provide your own supplies for clients while out of office (and sometimes in office) -No bathroom in the car -Wear and tear on car

Pros

Supportive clinic, potential to make a lot of money

Cons

You have to take a lot of clients to make that money which can be exhausting. It’s a slow start to build a decent caseload

We appreciate your feedback and tenure with Thrive! The fee for service model has allowed for pay increases of over 23% in the past 26 months. Thrive is transparent regarding the pay rate for each type of service performed. You are strongly encouraged to go over the breakdowns with your supervisor, human resources, or another supervisor if it will help you reach your financial goals or you have a suggestion on how to clarify the structure.
