Pros

- Customer-centric mentality - Intelligent and strong team members - Nice office - Team activities

Cons

- Poor communication and transparency to employees - Favouritism is a huge issue this company thrives off of - Inexperienced management - Lack of advancement and growth for deserving team members - Contradictory mentalities from management for selling externally versus internal perks - Work-life balance is not great. Management jokes that you're taking a half-day when someone leaves at five.

Pros

Awesome and friendly colleagues Great horizontal structure High in spirit Friendly and approachable management Everyone works hard when they need to

Cons

Sometimes have to work OT till late but that can easily be compensated when you have to take some time off to run some personal errands. It's give and take so I have no complaints and as it seems, no one does. If I HAD to nitpick, it would be the fact, since it's a startup, things can get hectic and you might have to work on tasks and jump to another when bugs come flying through.

Fun While It Lasted

Pros

Thriver was a really exciting place to work while they were on an upward trajectory. Moving into a new office, doubling the size of the team, constant promotions, and always being in an environment of success.

Cons

Once Thriver started to plateau, the hidden cons emerged. Top talent slowly started leaving without replacement, work life balance was poor, too much technical debt was accumulated, and there was a lack of overall direction.
