Pros

Some really great people to work with, gym membership, cool events, fun office centered around sports. Management is passionate about sports and what they are selling.

Cons

Company has changed its name 3-4 times since it begun 10 years ago, clearly still trying to figure out what they are even selling. Most management came from StubHub and sports companies so they are really ticket sales driven and don't know much about selling software. Hiring people with little experience to sell into enterprise companies with long sales cycles. Barely anyone achieved quotas and made commission - takes almost 5-6 months to even close first deal. Not much training: training was to read books like tony Robbins and study on your own time for 4 weeks. Long work days, required to be in 7-5. Management really didn't listen to employees complaints and hardships. Sink or swim company. CEO is always right, didn't matter what anyone else thinks or says; A very difficult people to work for. Witnessed him scream into a sales employee's ear to "speak up" while that person was leaving a voicemail to a prospect - it's crazy to think that is happening and no one does anything about it. Most of these posts on Glassdoor are all written on the same days because CEO made people go write reviews. Still a start-up after being in business for 10 years, but finally spruced up product and website. With all of this being said, there is some great people there that are happy. They are starting to grow more, so this could all be getting better in the future.

Pros

It's a start up. Start ups come with neat perks like gym memberships, catered breakfast Friday mornings, stand up desks, happy hours, stocked beer fridge, etc. We're pushed out of our comfort zone daily which allows us to grow not only as employees but as individuals. Endless opportunities as we are growing fast - it's just up to you to take charge! We also get 401K, stock options, PTO, and unlimited sick days.

Cons

We work too much - 10 hour days as most of us skip lunches. Sometimes 11 or 12 hour days if we show up early and stay late yet that extra time is not compensated. Working on the weekends is also not accounted for so only the max of 2 weeks PTO is offered. Mistakes are not taken lightly - people will get fired in a heartbeat if numbers aren't met.

Pros

If you like sports, SpotlightTMS is very cool with relationships with many professional football, basketball and hockey teams. And the two remaining founders really know the sports ticketing business. The culture is centered around sports.

Cons

Poorly defined and constructed product being sold into a small market by an inexperienced team lead by founders who, while experienced sales people, don't know the SaaS world or selling technology to enterprise customers. While the culture is centered around sports, surprisingly, it isn't fun, has lots of closed doors and is a grind.
