Pros
Some nice employees and the office space itself was nice to be in. Hybrid was also a plus
Cons
From the CEO down there’s a culture of mistrust, overwork and micromanagement. The CEO’s rude or inappropriate treatment of staff was usually laughed off as a personality quirk. Managers didn't stand up for their teams, and lack of organisation, forgetfulness, or lack of clarity from management was always made out to be the fault of the most junior team member. Goal posts were often moved without communication. There are employees who have been at the company for a very long time who seem happy, but other than that, there was incredibly high turnover. 'flexible working hours' meant people had a window where they started and finished work. Great in theory but contributed to a lot of people working overtime and not being compensated. A massively tokenistic approach to diversity with no genuine follow through, and 'work life balance' was free snacks in the office. Memos were sent around detailing why employees are being fired/resigning and contained more information than was appropriate. The employee in question would be excluded from receiving these memos so have to be told what's been said about them. The office is mostly young women in their 20s. Not inherently an issue but worth taking into consideration before working here. The resulting dynamics aren't for everyone. Some weren't treated very nicely and there were definitely some tears shed as a result. Some employees received promotions without raises, some received annual raises and others didn't even get annual inflation matched. We were asked not to discuss pay, but people did and it was very clear that there was no fairness or transparency, and lies were being told to staff
