Pros

Currently, the only company that can provide a graph database at scale. Despite a number of very large customers *wanting* to churn, they have no place else to go. The graph space is very interesting, especially in light of all the exciting recent advancements in AI.

Cons

Literally the worst company I have ever worked for. I have never seen an organization so unethical and incompetent. They spy on and deceive employees, lie to customers, endlessly fail to deliver, and otherwise consistently fall short by every measure that matters. If I were trying to fail, I could not do as poorly as senior management at TigerGraph has done. Not even kidding.

Pros

There are some very talented individuals scattered throughout the organization.

Cons

They have no idea how to build a product, position a product, go to market, or create a sales strategy. Despite some very talented individuals, product leadership is completely clueless and would rather hear themselves talk about how smart they believe themselves to be. Senior management is a complete disaster without a single clue as to how to build an organization. There are no real product engineers resulting in a product that is tangled web of third party libraries, utilities, and tools. The product is more of a science project than a tangible product which costs more to sell than anyone customer would be willing to pay. Leadership blew through funding at a rate which should alarm everyone and eventually shed most of the staff after being unable to generate any real revenue. One of the worst experiences ever to have to listen to those idiots in leadership roles flail so comically while achieving zero positive results. Even the Titanic was enjoyable for a while before sinking. The TigerGraph ship has no captain or direction.

Pros

Remote work, and there we’re some good people, and maybe a few left. Love the technology.

Cons

Amateur management team who have convinced themselves they can take this thing public even though they A) mismanaged their series c funding ($105M, and no one thought to immediately hire a corporate finance person….until 1.5 years later when too late). B) Seemed to take no responsibility for their mismanagement, and frankly, had built a poor culture. C) think they’re good enough to take it public but don’t even know what a go to market strategy is…. Overall, the tech seems good but the team making decisions is arrogant in that they cannot recognize what they don’t know or seemingly, even make good decisions about how to hire folks that can fill their blind spots.
