I would not recommend working at Tigers Childcare in Naas based on my experience there. Staff were not treated with respect by management, and communication within the team—and with parents—was consistently poor.
One of the disappointing issues involved a change to our contracted break times. Initially, staff were asked to sign a contract outlining a 45-minute lunch and a 15-minute break. However, a few weeks later, management announced that this was actually being changed to a combined one-hour break, despite how it had been previously presented. This change was communicated on a Friday morning and implemented immediately, with no consultation or notice period. It felt misleading and unfair.
The centre has also struggled with staffing levels, which has unfortunately led to disruptions in care and has let families down. These ongoing issues made for a difficult work environment and left many of us feeling undervalued.
