Pros

Experience on a front line basis with many vendors.

Cons

Lack of leadership and best management practises. Absolutely no room for growth or self development. Operations other wise known as a dead end industry. No work/life balance whatsoever. Lack of cultural morals and values.

Pros

Freedom to work without being checked on constantly. Decent living quarters and amenities. Saving on gas and laundry expenses. Gainful employment with loads to do constantly.

Cons

Poor training. Grossly understaffed, so you're working the equivalent of two or three other peoples jobs throughout the year.
