Pros

Front line staff are mostly amazing It has the potential to be a great job Training is good

Cons

Family run business that profits from children in care. Some senior decision makers are inexperienced and their expectations are unfair and unrealistic. They do not understand the realities of the work. Heavy handed use of disciplinary processes.

Pros

Good for progression. Opportunity to work with some really experienced and insightful people. Opportunity to make a difference.

Cons

Long hours as shifts are 48 hours long, and sometimes you don't get 4 days off in-between shifts to recharge. Sometimes you get moved to an unfamiliar home due to sickness/cover. Can be mentally challenging.
