Pros

Cool posters. Sometimes there's ice cream. Decent home entertainment clients.

Cons

I’m going to be the one honest person here and give this company the rating it deserves. This is the truth about why I quit Tiny Hero. It’s a nice place to work, it’s fine, you will learn a lot, everybody is young and enthusiastic, they have good clients, but DO NOT be fooled by the picnic tables and the movie posters on the walls. This is a toxic work environment. TOXIC with a capital T. Just the gossip and the back-stabbing that goes on here alone is enough to make any normal person sick to their stomach. There is no such thing as work-life balance. And if you think you’re going to go home at 7:00 think again because the client notes come in every single day at 6:40pm and you’ll be pressured to stay until they’re done. If you’re an editor, producer, or intern, you’ll be put on a pedestal and have a good experience, but if you’re in operations, graphics, or post … good luck until the day you quit because you will not get trained, you will not get an office, you will certainly not get paid fairly, and you will not be respected for the work you do. And you’ll only get a promotion if they decide they like you. There is also no organization. All requests and notes come in an email, that's it. All these platforms exist like Asana, Wrike, Mondays... nope, Tiny Hero uses Gmail with endless "Reply All" responses, so it is very easy to miss things and make mistakes. Not to mention, this is not a safe or positive work environment for women. Girls, go somewhere else. I know this might look strange because there’s a lot of 5 star reviews on here, but it’s obvious that someone internal is writing those so I hope the readers take this review seriously. I love how all the cons are about it being cold and having no parking. I never had trouble finding a parking spot and they give you a sweatshirt on the first day, so those are far from the worst parts of working here.

Pros

Maybe a free avocado twice a week if you were lucky. Absolutely nothing else.

Cons

- Fix your computers or hire an IT tech who isn't a complete jerk and will actually do the work he's paid to do and show up on time. My computer would randomly shut down all of the time, and every other computer I touched had a ton of issues as well. - Pay your employees at least a living wage. I know you're cheap, but the going rate was $18/hr for full time Editorial staff which is basically minimum wage in day in age. Completely unacceptable. - No heath insurance or holidays. Yep, you can't take time off here. Guess that's what happens when you only have 12 people working for you and about only half are even being paid to be there. - This place is still on Final Cut 7. Nobody uses that anymore for a reason. - The office itself smells and is full of junk. Like, as in actual piles of papers, garbage, and old books etc.

Pros

Tiny Hero has a great work culture - I love my coworkers & and our office dogs (Sage, Yoshi and Lucy). There's always something going on to keep work from being 'just another day at the office' like spontaneous dance parties and golf cart races!

Cons

Golf cart battery runs out unexpectedly on Star Bucks runs.
