Entire Branches Laid Off Due To Outsourcing - Poor Decision Making
Pros
Possible work from home option
Cons
The slightest downtick in industry volume results in mass layoffs. It doesn't matter to them if you are a top performer, such as I was, and it does not matter if you have the ability to work from home 100%, as I did -- If they decide to close the physical branch in which you are based out of, then that's it, you are out. Absolutely egregious, and a testament to the poor decisions made from the very top. This company, and its parent company, are stuck in the mid-2000s. They believe the more they outsource, the more they will save, and they are also reluctant to fully embrace a remote workforce despite most of their positions being able to do so. Get with the times. If they really wanted to save money they could close physical locations while leaving their proven, top performers to work from home. I guess they thought they could save a buck by not dealing with a selective termination process. Get 'em all at once. Keep it simple, keep it cheap, ain't that right? .....Don't waste your time and hard work with this company. It means nothing to them in the end.
