Fairly flat hierarchy, lots of transparency, incredibly flexible with timing and understanding of individual's needs.
Cons
Due to the nature of the workplace's contracting and the industry it's in, crunch happens, however it has so far been adequately compensated and not heavily enforced.
I’m glad to have not had the same poor experience as the company’s previous reviewers as I’ve had a pretty great experience at Torus so far. The smaller and tighter team of the last year or so may have improved things, perhaps.
The team and management all seem to be great people who are fun to work with. And they have treated me well to my knowledge.
Management also hasn’t ‘breathed down my neck’, letting me get work done independently which is very nice and helps the collegial atmosphere.
Though perhaps laborious with the constant changing, the many projects of wide variety have provided a mostly interesting experience.
Cons
The only issue I’ve encountered so far was some deadlines that were decided upon without input from those working on the project and that were thus unreasonable.
Also the management team often seems quite tied up, often are delaying or even missing communications on occasion.
