Pros
Great group of coworkers, weekly sponsored lunches, a gym and extracurricular activities.
Cons
There is a cabal of people who started at this company 15-20 years ago who are now in AVP/VP/CUO levels. They will not listen or implement employee recommendations. They will only do what the owner asks them to do (which is capricious and a moving target). They will not be fired or replaced. Politics and turf battles rage daily. The owner has brought in several C-suite executives over the last three years that have failed to turn the company around. Instead of promoting from within, they hire from without at companies the executives used to work for. Employees that could run departments - better than those currently in place - are exiting. Existing employees are being asked to do more for the same pay. HR is powerless even when serious concerns are raised. Company strategy wildly sprays across the map as they struggle to retain market share and profitability. New product? New market? New acquisition? New CEO? Another new CEO? Write policies? Now cancel those policies? All par for the course and it's incredible how the management responsible for errors and bad judgement are not held accountable. To all the employees - no, you are not crazy, this place is really that out-of-joint with reality.
