Pros

I had a good work experience here. It is very much like family. The work environment is nice and fair. Everyone gets along well. There is tons of free coffee. Vendors brought in food very frequently. CEO was nice and came in and spoke to employees often. Comfortable dress code. Clean work space. Able to listen to personal music.

Cons

The pay is about average. Management is paid well but all other workers are paid average. Need to give bigger raises. That would be my only con. For the work done the pay is slightly low.

Pros

My experience with Talis has been very rewarding. Management has been very supportive of me and my coworkers are amazing. Talis does provide many perks, that I'm sure most companies do not, at least not the companies I've worked for previously. I am very happy with Talis and consider them like family.

Cons

In my 40 plus years of work experience, I have never seen a "perfect" company. Of course I would love to have larger raises, at least to cover cost of living and more help with health insurance, but there are so many things to be thankful for, that I can't complain to much.

Pros

* Many of people you work with are very good, honest, hard working people. As long as they are not upper management. * Supportive of employee growth in the industry * 1/2 days on Friday, although you work longer days during the rest of the week.

Cons

* Very little room for growth within the company * High turn over * Emotionally draining work because of scope of work * Low wages * Management/ Owner mandates ridiculous rules for employees * Employee's roles are not well defined * If they lose an employee, they may not hire another, but shift around their work to others. Making more work for same pay for all employees. * Programs the company used were out of date and make employees do additional mind- numbing work to save money * When I was there, upper management was VERY strict (to the minute) about being late to work and also talking with other employees at the beginning of the day.

Talis Management is extremely appreciative of both our clients and staff members. Our Community Service Administrators position is highly visible and quite often a stressful job. We try to balance our need to provide excellent customer service to our clients and, at the same time, provide support and appreciation to our staff. Sometimes these two needs conflict with each other. As a service business, we must have people available to answer calls and other forms of communication thirty (30) minutes after our designated start time. This gives our staff time to settle in, get their morning foods and beverages, visit with co-workers, and be ready to serve our clients when the phones are turned on. Thirty (30) minutes prior to the end of the work day the phones are turned off. We do expect our staff to report to work on time and provide quality service to our clients while there. In exchange for this, we provide them a paycheck, sixteen (16) paid days of leave (0-5 years) plus ten (10) paid holidays, health and life insurance, annual performance and salary reviews; along with an ample and pleasing work environment, the best industry specific software and up to date hardware. In office massage days, movie tickets, lunches, contests, and many other staff appreciation events are done frequently. We have never had lay offs or years without raises. We regret that some people do not meet our exacting standards or do not like working in our industry. We appreciate beyond words those who choose to stay with us. Those who don't are always wished good fortune in their new endeavors. We enjoy staying in touch with many and appreciate those past employees who return to work with us again.
