Pros

Perfect for the pop culture lover. I got to attend several comic cons, which were awesome. I enjoyed the day-to-day work and remote flexibility.

Cons

As a scrappy company, you often wear many hats, which means you can get spread pretty thin. They didn't have much in the way of employee benefits either.

Pros

None that I can think of. At least they pay on time, although not nearly enough.

Cons

This company is family-owned and run by three brothers and their retirement-age mother. As an outsider you will not have opportunities for advancement as the family occupies the leadership positions without adding much value. For example, their mother has no concept of technology but is their administrator. The three brothers are fairly incompetent as managers as they haven't had much experience outside of Toynk. Expect to also earn less for an equivalent role, so use this company to get your feet under you and transition into an actual career. You will find it weird that two of the brothers sleep at the office. They also sleep during the day when you need a response from them, but are active late into the night. They would sometimes email late afterhours expecting a response. Again, incompetence at its finest.

Pros

Friendly and understanding peers. The work environment isn't as hostile but is a little competitive.

Cons

Slight micromanagement and average to below average pay. However, is compensated by work discounts if you're into merch.
