As the interview process went along, it became more and more clear to me that this job was not a marketing position as suggested by the original listing, but a sales job. There is nothing wrong with working in sales of course, but a marketing student is looking for marketing experience, so it should be clear from the very beginning what it is that they are being asked to do.

Not paid what you are promised in the interview. Seen as a “negative to the company” if you do not make a certain number of sales.
