was fired for taking a week off for the birth of my first child, even when I requested the time off months in advance

Pros

lots of hours, sometimes too many hours, get to travel alot, plenty to learn, and alot of independence, easy work sometimes

Cons

treated like crap, get called into work 2 hours after working a 32 hour shift, they will not pay you what they promised, the manager and supervisor are coke heads

Too fast paced - Constantly applying bandaids instead of resolving issues Low pay - Will (try to) convince you you're worth less if you're a valuable team member Constant reorganization - Few things are standardized and policies (if they exist) aren't followed Work/life balance will be off, leading to low morale
