Pros

Flexible work hours, well-known brand (for better or for worse), good work-life balance

Cons

* Extremely toxic sales culture * Awful compensation plan for controls account managers * Horrible training program * Poor position in the market * Poor leadership * Poor internal structure * Outdated internal software * I could go on and on. This job really is awful. I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Pros

The pay is exceptional along with the benefits and vacation time offered. The only other good thing was going home at the end of the day and forgetting about that place.

Cons

It is a disjointed company that cannot remotely figure out how to best serve its customers. Every little piece of Trane is part of a whole under the Ingersoll Rand umbrella. You’re thinking - how bad could it be? I used 10 programs daily just to find parts and sell them. Sometimes it took 5 programs to only look up a part. If we had to call someone, it required 4 or 5 calls to different numbers to find the right person. Each part of the company is treated as a separate entity, so each computer program and each sliver of business is a different phone number to call for help. I received no training and I had to figure everything out myself. My manager was from a different industry so he had no idea what was going on with inventory or what we needed to stock. I could go on and on but do yourself a favor and put this one at the bottom of your stack. Ask yourself why the pay and benefits are so good... it’s because they can’t keep good people and they are trying to entice you. It’s not worth the stress you’ll be under. Not worth it at all.
