Pros

I enjoyed working at Trees for the Future! The Forest Garden Model is a unique method to help communities with food scarcity, and it works. The staff are incredibly dedicated to the cause.

Cons

Small as it is, everything seems to be a bit of a silo. I'm not sure if that has changed since my time, but idea sharing was very difficult--and suggestions for anything that wasn't Leadership's idea rarely got traction.

Pros

Working at Trees for the Future was very satisfying due to the mission of working with people in rural communities in the developing world to plant trees and improve their lives. The work allows the employees to feel they are making a difference in the world and improving people's lives.

Cons

Small non-profit with limited resource, can make the job difficult. Recent change in management can make for a problematic work environment. Small salary is not competitive for the type of work and experience level required.
