Pros

Free food, a handful of really cool co-workers and a leave time of 4:00PM (good luck acting on that though). The Holiday party's are fantastic but don't expect much give throughout the year.

Cons

Too many superiors with always-changing titles, two CEO's that never make eye contact and can't remember your name, let alone develop you, and a toxic structure made to heartily reward the guys that have been there the longest, leaving just scraps of meat for the new kids. There's greed, there's long hours, and I hope you're fine with being talked down to, because that's this company's credo. Know your tier on their totem pole, keep your mouth closed and feed the money up; don't expect much in return.

Pros

-High energy work environment -Excellent training program to set you up for success -Excellent 401k match program -Good group work set up -Surrounded by fun & easy going co-workers that have a strong desire to succeed -Your team members will always do what it takes to get things done to help you -Easy communication between departments

Cons

-Giving suggestions on business growth to management will only result in disappointment. -If suggestions are ever used down the road do not expect to receive any recognition. -Database is very old school and needs to be updated to relevant technology. -Be prepared at times to get talked down too by management, as though you are a child. -Management may "blow smoke" to try and keep you with the company longer -Based on prior experience I feel the hiring process is a little of out of whack, but then again there is no set correct ways to hire people. You always need to try new techniques to acquire excellent talent. -If a procedure gets set in place do not expect it to be followed. Procedure seems to change or not be followed at all.

Pros

You'll get halfway decent experience if you surround yourself with the right people. The employees are generally good people as well.

Cons

This company will string you along at a hardly livable salary by guaranteeing potential for growth that never comes to fruition. You're paid less than industry standard to get treated horrendously while you fill someone elses pockets. The way ownership takes advantage of their employees is absolutely deplorable and the HR department as a whole is negligent and underqualified. Never have I been so depressed driving to work on a daily basis (and I worked as both a janitor and landscaper throughout college). There are hundreds of other brokers in the Chicagoland area that will treat and pay you better.
