A soulless corporate experience

Pros

Tremco used to be a good place to work, before numerous rounds of layoffs since 2023. It still has a pension and 401k match, and the pay is decent. Soulless corporate ladder advancement is available to you if you mindlessly perform management's every demand.

Cons

After many (5+) rounds of layoffs since 2023, the company is now essentially a dictatorship. "Leadership" has been reduced to corporate yes-men (and women) who are in self-preservation mode, too afraid to lose their jobs to speak up against one terrible decision after another. The company is in a downward spiral, it's only a matter of time before it hits the fan.

Pros

Growing company - company is acquiring new businesses and divisions on an ongoing basis Hit target numbers - company hits goals annually

Cons

Nepotism - if you aren't related to someone at Tremco, friends with someone, or a friend of the family you will never be promoted. They give top management jobs to family members with little to no experience. If you don't want to advance your career it is an ok place to work, but if you have drive and ambition and aren't related to upper management then don't accept a position here. Toxic work environment - people blame others for their failures instead of taking responsibility. Negativity and passing the buck are daily occurrences and it is tolerated by management. Too many frivolous meetings - meetings are useful when progress is made, but several employees use meetings to mask that they don't know how to execute their duties and they do this by scheduling frivolous meetings to appear as though they are busy and productive.
