Pros

Modern office facilities with a sometimes good work-life balance

Cons

• Legacy Mindset: The company is heavily rooted in outdated practices and is resistant to change. There is a strong preference for maintaining the status quo rather than embracing innovation and new ideas. • Poor Leadership: Senior leadership lacks vision and effective communication. Decisions are often made without consulting or considering the input of experienced team members, leading to a disconnect between management and staff. • Limited Growth Opportunities: Professional development and career advancement are limited. The focus seems to be more on internal politics and favoritism rather than merit-based progression. • Lack of Collaboration: Departments operate in silos with minimal cross-functional collaboration. This hampers efficiency and the ability to drive strategic initiatives forward. • Low Morale: Due to the above issues, employee morale is generally low, and turnover rates are high.

Pros

It was a job for a period of time

Cons

Was a great company to work for until Tri-Pointe Homes bought Trendmaker Homes. Benefits are the worst in the industry. The new attitude is how cheap can we build the house. All Trendmaker has is a reputation that is fading away. Customer Satisifcation is OUT the door. Knowing what I know about Trendmaker I would not buy a house from them.

Pros

Breakfast in the office on Thursday. standard pay and benefits.

Cons

I worked at Tri Pointe Homes for several years, and unfortunately, the experience was far from positive. The senior leadership is unskilled and incompetent, often promoting individuals who have “failed up” rather than those with genuine talent and vision. This has resulted in a poor culture where mediocrity is the norm. Employees are forced to rate the company highly on surveys like Great Places to Work, and there are repercussions if you don’t. This makes the glowing reviews you see completely misleading. The work environment is toxic, characterized by backstabbing and cliques. It’s hard to trust colleagues, and collaboration is nearly impossible. If you’re considering a position here, be prepared for a very challenging and unsupportive atmosphere.
