Pros

The company is a family owned and run business. They are great people who have been in the business for over 25 years, and are very knowledgable of necessary workflows for international distribution. Can be an okay stepping stone.

Cons

Working here is not a foot in the door. Pay is supposedly weekly but is sometimes spotty if paid at all. The owners take advantage of the many people who are brought on as interns to work full time for no pay. They have poor business ethics and put quantity above quality. Lack of organization.

Pros

I was able to get a feel for the entertainment industry, almost never worked weekends, learned to identify red flags of a company, met some great and amazing coworkers.

Cons

Business runs in the family... Lots of red flags right there. They are essentially an intern mill who take advantage of young students trying to look for work in the film industry. They say you will get very relevant experience during your time with them, but in reality, you will be doing a lot of terrible grunt work for cheap. You will consistently filling out excel/google sheets documents with super repetitive information 24/7. This will be 100% unpaid for the time of being an intern and eventually may turn into a full time, terribly paying job. The location of the house is not the best area at all (many crimes have occurred right outside of their “office”). There are rarely parking spots available and you may have to walk a decent amount to even get there in a not-so-great part of town. The upper management did not treat their employees well at all (unless you were family, of course). There was a lot of condescending attitudes and no appreciation for all the hard work among all of their "employees" (you will really be considered an independent contractor and have no benefits whatsoever). Many of the employees break their backs for the company and wear way too many hats to the point of exhaustion. Organization among the company, especially the upper management is absolutely terrible. You must jump through so many hoops in order to get something done. When the time comes that you think you finish, there will be a change in the entire plan and you will start over. The upper management does not know how to run their company without changing course every month or so.
