I had the displeasure of working under an extremely rude, arrogant, and unsupportive team leader, who seemingly had her mind made up about me prior to my even opening my mouth to greet her. I later learned I was far from the only employee to receive this treatment. A bully of the absolute worst kind; made a show of sympathy when I was genuinely down and struggling, kicked me in the teeth repeatedly when I wasn’t ( which was most of the time) Middle management also extraordinarily bad; it’s an intellectual and spiritual desert at that tier. It was the culture within management that drove me out, rather than the nature of the job itself. Part timers are also very poorly remunerated.

Most of the management are misogynistic, especially the higher-ups, particularly two men who are in positions of power. There's a high turnover rate due to burnout, no support, and inability to access annual leave, even if you have 100s of hours banked. If you're pretty and willing, you should go far. If you stand your ground, management will look at ways to get rid of you. Don't do it.
